ČKZ - Časopis za kritiko znanosti, domišljijo in novo antropologijo (Journal for the Criticism of Science, Imagination and New Anthropology).
ČKZ is an established Slovenian social and humanistic journal launched at the time of student rebellions in early 1970's by a group of radical students and young intellectuals in order to open a theoretic forum for the science wishing to be formed in the stream of reflection of the most relevant social movements. Today's editorial board continues to follow the concept, and therefore the journal declines from traditional scientific notions where the lack of judgement of one's own normative foundations is confused for "scientific objectivity". In this decade the journal has been committed to the treatment of problems of open society in young democracies, social-ecological issues, cultural and gender studies, questions of scientific and technological civilisation, media theory, risk technology, social-pedagogical topics, marginality, addiction, handicap etc., discussed by national and international authors of different branches. It is precisely this development of trans-disciplinary method in the examination of different social phenomena that forms the basis of editor policy. Furthermore the editorial board tries to present contemporary theoretic concepts, translate shorter texts (from Aristotle, Descartes and Locke to contemporary authors) and inform the readers on the latest books published. ČKZ is a welcome to the thinkers who are not indifferent.
